Controller for sliding doors

A sliding door controller is designed to control a sliding door. It features a motor, slides and guides, a limit switch, and other components. The motor turns the gears to move the door back and forth when power is supplied. It also features an energy-saving function that rotates the shaft at a low speed when there is no demand for large distance travel or force within 10 seconds.

In the process of its movement, the motor provides power to the gear wheels so that it will rotate forwards and backward. It also can make a range adjustment for smooth locking and opening. The door guides are used to guide the movement of the sliding door as it slides downwards. Additionally, there are limited switches to detect whether the door is fully closed or fully opened, which is controlled by a piezo-electric switch.

The power supply of the controller

The controller can be controlled by a 24V DC power supply. The DC power supply may be applied with a relay or main switch. If there are many power supplies, then it will be necessary to connect the respective power supplies via the wiring cable to ensure that the sliding door controller is powered.

How to control the sliding door controller

It is possible to control the sliding door controller by a wired remote control or by a radio remote control (it is necessary to install a radio transmitter receiver near the sliding door). The DC power supply can be applied with a relay or main switch (if there are many power supplies, then it will be necessary to connect the respective power supplies via the wiring cable). Then it can be connected with a wired remote control or a radio remote control.

Wiring control signal

The operation of the controller can be controlled by a wired remote control or a radio remote control. The wiring cable for the controlling signal must be connected with the main wiring terminal between the controller and the main switch. This can be used to make adjustments in operation, according to different requirements. In addition, it is useful to protect the sliding door controller from battery failure. This is because some of them are mainly used in electrical construction sites and unstable environments, which may impact greatly on their performance and cause malfunctions.

Main components

The following main components are used:

Motor (F = 3000rpm, 120V/60Hz, W = 12mm) Gear – 400 rpm, 120V/60Hz. Drive Gear – 400 rpm, 120V/60Hz. Limit switch – closing close contact. Long-distance lock function – not available. Power consumption: 0.25W @ 50% duty cycle; 300mA @ 100% duty cycle (the door is fully closed).

Controller specifications

The controller specifications are as follows:

(1) The door opens and closes at a speed of 400 rpm.

 (2) This can be used for the sliding door with width up to 1500mm.

(3) Its travel distance is 200mm or 400mm

(4) Its power consumption is 0.25W @ 50% duty cycle, 300mA @ 100% duty cycle.

 (5) It can be controlled by a wired remote control or a radio remote control.

How to use the controller

It is possible to use the sliding door controller with a wired remote control or a radio remote control.

Furthermore, it can be connected with a wired remote control or a radio remote control

Remote controlling the sliding door controller

Two methods can be used to control the sliding door controller:

(1) Wired remote control;

(2) Radio remote control.

– Wired Remote Control: Using the following process, it is possible to operate the sliding door controller with a wired remote control.

Steps to be taken:

(1) Turn off the main switch;

 (2) Connect the wiring cable between the controller and the main switch;

3) Connect the power supply for the sliding door controller;

(4) Press one button on the wired remote control to open or close the sliding door.

– Radio Remote Control: To utilize a radio remote control, it is necessary to install a radio transmitter receiver near the sliding door. It is also necessary to attach a remote control with a signal receiver.

Steps to be taken:

1) Turn off the main switch;

 (2) Connect the wiring cable between the controller and the main switch;

(3) Connect the power supply for the sliding door controller;

 4: Press one button on the remote control to open or close the sliding door.

Conclusion

The sliding door controller is used to control the movement of sliding doors or automatic doors. It can be used to control the movement speed and force of these sliding doors or doors in a single machine, which can prevent their operation errors and ensure the performance of the smooth operation. It is also applicable to use with other kinds of machines.
